I am Pratish Mistry – a professional coach, writer, poet, entrepreneur and an expert in corporate strategy. Having lived on four continents and travelled the globe, I am truly a citizen of the world. I have a deep interest in the human spirit and world cultures. My current projects are a stepping stone for me in the creation of a unique retreat designed to teach effective self-expression and to help people on their spiritual paths.
I spend most of my time coaching individuals and consulting on strategy, innovation and human resource development. I am also working on my third book and numerous articles on personal and spiritual development.
What qualifies me to be a life coach?
Quite simply, I am successfully living the dream and I sincerely believe that you can too. Despite my humble beginnings I have already achieved many of my goals and I continue to stretch myself going forward. These goals range from completing multiple academic degrees, speaking numerous languages and travelling the world to being an established corporate strategy guru, publishing books and articles and creating an award-winning cartoon blog.
Prior to focusing on being a full time life coach, I adopted a work-life model in which I took on contract roles for 3-4 months each year and spent the remainder of the year pursuing other passions such as writing, thinking and self development. I have since decided to enhance my extensive consulting experience over the last 15 years with substantial formal coach training with Erickson College in Canada. I focus on coaching now because I can see the meaningful impact that it has had on both myself and the clients I interact with.
My strengths as a coach
I am calm, non-judgmental, patient and honest. My realisation that we all do the best we can to get by and that each person knows best what’s best for them allows me to quieten my mind completely during coaching. This lets me listen to you clearly and attentively so I can be an effective, reflective sounding board for you. My experience in dealing with diverse cultures and my management consulting skills gives me the important ability to ask relevant, thought-provoking questions in a way that stimulates your curiosity about yourself and what you really want.
